What day does a new week start on? Many will tell you that the week starts on Monday, and it says so in the Bible, because the world was made in 6 days and God rested on the Sabbath. Actually, it says i…n the Bible that it starts on a Sunday.

What people forget is that the Bible was written in Jewish terms, and their Sabbath is Saturday. Jesus was a Jew, as were all his disciples and those that wrote the Bible. The Old Testament is where the mention of the 6 days and resting on the Sabbath comes from. Move onto the New Testament, to the Crucifixion.

We are told that Good Friday was the day of preparation which is "the day before the Sabbath.
